The Shinagawa/Osaki district is a sub-center of Tokyo and is full of the spirit of the times. Shinagawa campus has excellent transportation access. We have the best environment for learning, including IT facilities such as the Academic Information Center. We are also promoting eco-campuses, including the Clean Campus Declaration, which began in 2001.

Kumagaya campus

The lush Kumagaya campus is located near Musashikyuryo Forest Park. The vast site of approximately 350,000 square meters, which is equivalent to eight Tokyo Domes, offers a rich learning environment, including twin tower student dormitories and dedicated fields for various sports.
Like the Shinagawa campus, we are promoting an eco-campus certified by the Urban Greening Foundation (SEGES) in addition to the Clean Campus Declaration.
In addition, in the redevelopment of the 40-year-old Kumagaya campus (completed in June 2010), Ishimoto Architects Co., Ltd. was highly praised for creating a landscape that was designed by Ishimoto Architects Co., Ltd. as an asset that blended people, nature, and architecture. The campus received the 2011 Good Design Award (G Mark) sponsored by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Foundation.

Rissho University Junior and Senior High School

educational goals

Gyogaku Nido

Rissho is a Buddhist school whose founding spirit is based on the personality and teachings of Nichiren Shonin.
“The two paths of Gyōgaku” refers to the two paths of training and study.
In other words, our school's educational goal is to develop students who can actually demonstrate what they have learned in school (learning) through their actions.
Rissho believes that in order to put into practice ``Gyogaku Nido,'' it is important to have a heart of kindness, courage, and gratitude.
For this reason, we have valued the following three things since our founding.
"Encouraging cheerful greetings"
“Education that motivates people to learn on their own”
"Education that instills each individual's individuality, compassion, and the mental strength to control themselves."
Our school will continue to move forward with the aim of nurturing students' active passion for learning and rich character.

location

Moved from Shinagawa campus to Magome campus in April 2013.

Rissho Junior and Senior High School attached to Rissho University has a history and tradition of over 100 years, and has long shouldered the heavy responsibility of being a secondary education institution in Osaki, producing many outstanding students with rich individuality. However, due to its location in the city center and its cramped school building, it was unable to provide sufficient grounds and club facilities for the developing junior and senior high school students.
In April 2013, we moved to a new campus in Magome, an area of high ground three times the size of the Shinagawa campus, and equipped with facilities and equipment befitting a new era, we created the "Forest Learning Center," which envisions the future of education.
