Rissho University began as a small institute (later a religious institute) established in 1872 (Meiji 5) at Shokyo-ji Temple in Shiba Nihonenoki, Tokyo (Takanawa, Minato Ward, Tokyo), and its origins date back to Iitaka Danrin, which was established in 1580 (Tensho 8). Since then, based on the Rissho Ankoku Ron, written by Saint Nichiren, from which our school takes its name, we have established correct teachings and adhered to the Rissho spirit of realizing peace in society, over our nearly 450-year history, overcoming various turbulent times such as the Meiji Restoration and the Pacific War. I believe this is the result of the efforts and service of our great teachers and sages, based on the teachings of the Lotus Sutra, throughout our long history.
With such a history, our school has consistently sought the truth, respected justice, wished for peace, and contributed to human society as its founding spirit, and is working to improve and expand its educational and research facilities in order to nurture young people with broad academic knowledge and a rich culture. In this regard, we would like to ask for the support and cooperation of all walks of life, including alumni, parents, and the priests and members of the sect's temples.

If a company or other corporation wishes to make a donation to Rissho Rissho Educational Corporation, they are permitted to include a certain percentage of the donation as a loss for the fiscal year in accordance with the Corporation Tax Act.
[1] Deduction under recipient designated donation system
By designating our school and making a donation through the Japan Private School Promotion and Mutual Aid Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Private School Corporation), the entire amount of the donation can be included in deductible expenses for the relevant fiscal year.

For the deduction procedure, a "donation receipt" issued by the Private School Corporation is required. The school will send it to you as soon as it is published.

The "receipt date" of the Private School Foundation is approximately one month after the payment to our school, and it takes about two months for the "donation receipt" to be mailed. If you wish to make a payment within one month of the settlement date, please contact Rissho University Fundraising Office (General Affairs Department General Affairs Section) in advance.
*If you make a donation via the Internet (credit card, convenience store, or Pay-easy payment), the date of receipt of the donation will be the date the donation is deposited at our university by the collection agency, which will be approximately one and a half months after the date of application.

[2] Deduction under the donation system for specified public interest law promotion corporations
By donating directly to our school, which is designated as a specified public interest promotion corporation, without going through the private school corporation, the following amounts can be included in deductible expenses for the relevant fiscal year.

Our school will send you a ``certificate (copy) of Specified Public Interest Promotion Corporation'' and ``receipt of donation.''
*If you make a donation via the internet (credit card payment, convenience store payment, Pay-easy payment), the date of receipt of the donation will be the day the university receives the money from the receiving institution, which will be approximately one month from the date of application. It will be half a minute later.
