■ About the online certificate application service

(1) Service Overview
The "Online Certificate Application Service" is a service that allows you to apply online for the issuance of the certificates you need, pay by credit card, cash at a convenience store, or by various multi-payment methods, and then receive your certificate in one of two ways: by using a multi-copy machine at a convenience store (convenience store issuing service), by having it issued at a RIS Corner (on-campus issuing service), by mail (over the counter), or by having an electronic certificate sent online.
The issuing location, business hours, and issuing fees vary depending on the type of certificate, so please check below.

(2) Precautions for Use

  1. For those who require a sealed envelope

Certificates can be submitted at the university office or by regular mail application, or through the "Online Certificate Application 'Mail Pick-up' Service." Certificates issued at convenience stores can be sent in a sealed envelope to the university office.

If you are applying for certificates using the "Online Certificate Application 'Receive by Mail' Service," when entering your delivery address, please enter any certificates that need to be sealed, other than transcripts, in the "Notes" field.

The transcript will be prepared in a sealed envelope.

  2. Name on the certificate

The name that will appear on the certificate will be the name used at the time of enrollment (or at the time of leaving the school). Certificates cannot be issued with a name after a surname change.

Printing digital watermarks (convenience store issuing service)
Certificates printed using this service are protected against forgery using POPITA® technology, and cannot be copied and used.

POPITA® is a registered trademark of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation.

  3. For those who plan to submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not recognize POPITA (digital watermark mark) certificates issued at convenience stores or on-campus certificate issuing machines.
If you are submitting it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the certificate must be made on anti-counterfeit paper.
Please register for either [Application by Mail] or [Online Application (Certificate Issuance Service)] and select "By Mail" as the printing destination or enter "Visa Application" in the comments field.
