Rissho University opens university education to working adults who feel the need for theoretical learning at a university, and provides learning opportunities as "non-degree students." At the university, students can take courses offered to acquire various qualifications and earn credits for their studies, as long as it does not interfere with the studies of regular students.

1. Please check the syllabus, etc. in advance for the course period for each subject (half-term courses and year-round courses).
2. Tuition fees are to be paid each term according to the number of subjects taken. Tuition fees cannot be paid in installments each term.
3. Once paid, tuition fees will not be refunded for any reason. However, if there are no more undergraduate or graduate students (regular students) enrolled in a course for which you have been approved to take it, the course will be cancelled as a general rule, and tuition fees for that course will be refunded.
4. If any falsification or fraud is found in the submitted documents, your permission to attend may be revoked even after the procedures have been completed. In this case, the tuition fee will not be refunded at all.
5. The tuition fee for half-term courses held twice a week is different from that for regular half-term courses.

Please submit your application documents during the application period listed below. After the application process, each faculty and graduate school will review your application to determine whether or not you can take the courses you wish to take. Please note that we will not accept any changes to your courses after the faculty or graduate school review.

Please review the "Notes on Taking a Photo of Your Face" and then send your application form (Excel file) and photo image data to the following email address: ris-nds▲ris.ac.jp.
Once we receive your application email, we will send you an application acknowledgment email to the email address you provided within 1-2 business days.
If you do not receive an application confirmation email, please contact the academic affairs office of the faculty or graduate school you wish to attend.

Please submit your application form in Excel format. (Do not submit it in PDF format.)

This is a common format for both undergraduate and graduate schools.

Announcement of permission to attend

You will be notified by mail of the courses you are permitted to take based on the results of the faculty/graduate school review. Your faculty/department (graduate school/major) will be determined based on the courses you take and the types of qualifications you wish to obtain, in accordance with the criteria set by the university for determining your faculty/department (graduate school/major). This applies even if you apply for courses from multiple faculties/departments (graduate schools/majors). You cannot change your faculty (graduate school) within the same academic year.

Attendance procedure

Please pay the tuition fee and submit documents within the period below.

Details of the enrollment procedure will be announced when enrollment is approved.

Documents to be submitted at the time of enrollment procedure (no need to submit at the time of application)

1: Not required if you were a non-degree student in the previous year or if your address has not changed since the spring procedure.

2: Not required if you were a course student in the previous year.

3: Applicants for the 1st term (spring) non-degree course students may take the university's health examination (see the table below). If you take the university's health examination, you do not need to submit a health examination certificate, which is a required document.

4: If you are a foreign national, please submit only ④.

5. If you are only submitting item ④, you can do so by attaching it to an email. However, please mask any parts that may contain personal information such as account balance before submitting.

1. Details of the medical examination conducted at our university will be sent along with the announcement of permission to attend.
2. If you are newly applying for the second term (fall), you will not be able to take the on-campus medical examination. Please undergo a health check at your own expense.

   <Optional> Chest X-ray (However, those who are planning to participate in educational training, nursing care, etc. must undergo the examination)

Issuance of non-degree student ID card

Those who have completed the course registration procedure will be issued a "Course Registration Certificate." Please carry it with you when you come to school, as it will be used to use facilities such as the library and for regular exams. If you lose it, a reissue fee (2,000 yen) will be charged.
