Basic policy for formulating three policies

Rissho University has established three policies to ensure and improve the quality of the educational activities carried out in each faculty and graduate school: We formulate and operate policies for curriculum organization and implementation (curriculum policy) and admission policy (admission policy).
The three policies specifically describe the following items based on the founding spirit and educational goals of our university.

About the three policy formulation units

  • The three policies are formulated on a university-wide basis, and further on a faculty/department/course, graduate school/major basis. In addition, we will pay attention to consistency and consistency between university-wide policies and the policies of each faculty, department, course, graduate school, and major.

Degree Award Policy (Diploma Policy)

  • The abilities that must be acquired for graduation/completion are expressed from four perspectives: (1) "interest, motivation, and attitude," (2) "thinking, judgment, and expression," (3) "knowledge and understanding," and (4) "skills."
  • It should be content that allows you to verify what you have achieved.

Curriculum organization and implementation policy (curriculum policy)

  • Clarify the curriculum organization policy, curriculum and learning methods associated with the diploma policy.

Policy for accepting new students (admission policy)

  • Based on the policies for graduation certification and degree awarding, and the policies for curriculum organization and implementation, this document clearly states the type of person Rissho University expects from its students.
  • We will clearly state the basic purpose of each admission selection system, as well as the evaluation viewpoint and judgment method based on that purpose.
  • In addition to the academic level and abilities required of applicants for admission, we clearly indicate the learning activities and study history required before admission.

Regarding the operation of the three policies

  • Recognizing that the three policies are the core of an internal quality assurance system that continually strives to improve the quality of education, we will constantly examine them and revise them as necessary.
