This is a collection of Buddhist instruments and Buddhist statues donated by Mr. Manabe Takashi (Chairman of the Japan Society for the Study of Ancient Bells).

The museum exhibits bells and bells from various parts of Asia, including Japan, the Korean Peninsula, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka.

Other exhibits include a bronze drum from Thailand, a golden drum from the Korean peninsula, and a gilt bronze standing statue of Shaka Nyorai (Shaka Tathagata) from China, inscribed with the year 7 of the reign of Emperor Wu (549).

Among these, the bell excavated in Kashihara City (early Heian period) is an extremely valuable resource as it is one of the earliest temple bells in Japan. This bell was restored in 2006, and you can now hear its sound.
