Healthcare Information
You are eligible to use the healthcare room and counselling room on campus for minor illnesses, injuries, or mental problems. For details, please refer to Student's Handbook (Tachibana-dayori).
Medical Check-ups
All students are required to receive a medical check-up every year in April. Health certificates necessary for many application procedures are issued only to students who have undergone the check-ups.
National Health Insurance System
All foreigners who stay in Japan for one year or longer must join the National Health Insurance System. When receiving medical treatment under this system, you are required to pay only 30% of incurred medical costs. For enrollment you need to visit the National Health Insurance Section of municipal office in the region where you live. We recommend you go through the procedures when applying for alien registration or the registry changes.
Students' Health Insurance Mutual Aid Society
This society is a mutual aid organization established for Rissho University students to subsidize their medical costs. For more information, please refer to Student's Handbook (Tachibana-dayori).
