I, Kazuko Kawamata, Professor of the Faculty of Law, would like to say a few words taking office as the Director of Center for International Exchange (CIE). “International exchange” is significant for “the university” which has a role in training the students who are actively involved in the globalized international society. Rissho University aims to be further globalized by improving its programs for both international students and Rissho students, its exchange programs and its student supports. I have spent 7 years abroad. From my personal experience, with living abroad we not only learn foreign languages but also understand different cultures and deepen mutual understanding. I hope the Rissho students will accept the challenge to study abroad and to train overseas more positively, in order to improve their own personality.
