We prepare two hotels, Central Inn Kokubu and Hotel Kyocera for special discounted conference rate. Please make your reservation from here. Central Inn Kokubu is located next to the Kirishima City Hall as the conference venue. It offers single rooms, and several twin rooms. Hotel Kyocera, which is 1.5 km away from the conference venue, offers single rooms and twin rooms. You walk down along the wide road from Hotel Kyocera, and it is easy to find the conference venue. We recommend making your reservation early because the rooms will be booked on "a first come-first served" basis. All reservation fees include breakfast, taxes and service costs. (You don't have to pay any tips.) |
| Airport transportation to and from Kagoshima airport |
On Sunday May 9, free transportation by a bus will be available to bring participants to the conference hotel. The transportation details to and from Kagoshima Airport will be given in the 3rd Circular. If you need domestic flight reservation, please send e-mail to official travel agency. e-mail : info at academiatours.com The large international airport in Japan are Narita, Kansai, Nagoya and Fukuoka. Participants arriving International Airport, Narita and Kansai will need to transfer (by Limousine Bus) to the nearby domestic airport, Haneda and Itami to fly on to Kagoshima airport which is close to Kirishima City. All participants should plan to arrive by May 9. Participants arriving Narita Airport will need minimum connecting time

All visitors to Japan must have a passport that is valid for at least six months after their arrival. The Japanese government requires a valid visa for entry to Japan by people of many nationalities. | Proceedings | The papers presented at the conference will be peer reviewed and the accepted ones will be published in a special tephra-related volume of Quaternary International. It is anticipated that papers for this volume will be required to be submitted by September 2010 (details to be confirmed later) so that refereeing and production can be achieved to facilitate the earliest possible publication of the volume. An abstract booklet will be published by the organizing committee and will be available at the conference. |
